Getting married in Southern California can be a challenge given that there are literally thousands of wedding locations from chapels to private residences and golf courses to sites designed specifically for weddings. Like wedding photography, selecting a wedding site is basically an emotional decision. If you are not getting married in a church, then you are probably seeking a venue that fits, first your budget, then a place that you find emotionally moves you. (Some brides start out seeking a wedding location that “moves” them and later realize that they can’t afford it, so they opt for seeking a location where their budget fits in nicely. But that’s not what I’m writing about.

Temecula under the Oaks is a wedding location located in, you guessed it, Temecula, California. (Between the Inland Empire and San Diego). It’s actually a private residence. Located in the De Luz agricultural preserve in the hills above Temecula. While I’m not sure of the cost of a wedding their, I can tell you, as a Southern California wedding photographer, it provides for some unique and enchanting backdrops, especially if you are looking to have a Celtic Wedding, or any type of unique or themed wedding. It’s even nice for the typical wedding.

I photographed a May wedding at the location and found it to be lush; oak tree’s surround the property, you’ll find a nice pond, and a stream that runs along the property all to add character to the site.
