Wedding Photography at Fullerton Arboretum: A Classic Look (Photo of the Week 5.04.09) It's perhaps one of the best locations in Orange County for wedding photography (and even engagement photography): The Fullerton Arboretum. The location is a photographers paradise, with acres of well kept landscape and ponds. In addition, there's the Heritage House which makes for a nice backdrop. This weeks photo was taken at the Heritage House in the heart of the arboretum. With so many images to choose from, I select this image which depicts the bride gazing off while standing on the porch of the house.
The brides appearance, the home, windmill in the background, and color tone of the image all add to the nostalgic look I was trying to achieve for this wedding photo. The image takes you back to a location somewhere in the Midwest around the 1950's. But in reality, this photo was take a few weeks ago. In addition, the willingness of the bride to "act" helped create the nostalgic mood and feel. It's always a pleasure working with a bride (or groom) who is willing to get involved with their photos and "act" the part when needed to bring the images alive.
