Wedding Photography of Bride and Groom in California's High Desert

How often do you attend a wedding on a dry lake bed in the middle of the high desert far from any amenities, not to mention restroom facilities? Probably never. Actually, this couple didn't have their wedding on the dry lake bed either. From time to time I like to work with couples who are willing to do unique and different wedding photos after their wedding.We set a location and theme then head out to do the photo shoot.

This photo of the week took us to Lucerne Valley in Southern California. A dry lake bed located off of Barstow Road was the setting. The idea, create a unique image that departed from the norm of wedding photography. I like to think we accomplished the goal. Aside from the dramatic pose, I particularly like the clouds and the cracked earth which directly contrast with the idea of a newlywed starting a new life together. There are great post-wedding photos part of this series and another one may just make it into the photo of the week later this year.
