Engagement Photography - Lovers Embrace in Riverside, California

I think one of the reasons I enjoy working with some couples is that they have a true love for one another. Captured in this engagement photography session in Downtown Riverside (Southern California), is Heather and Brandon who seem to forget that the photographer is even present as they embrace in a kiss for this photo. I chose this image as the photo of the week because of the passion the couple exhibit for one another. It's definitely a departure from most engagement photos you will find with other wedding photographers; rather than sitting in a park and posing for the camera, I like to set up the shot and allow the couple to act natural. With this couple, there was no shortage of "natural" photos as we walked around Downtown Riverside, California.

To further enhance the passion, I chose to convert the image to sepia tone and photograph with a blurred foreground as to create the illusion of the couple being viewed from the perspective a passerby. Finally, using Photoshop, I softened up the image to give it a portrait feel.
