HDR - Scenic Photography in Sun City, California 
There's something special about High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography, it has the ability to turn a normal, mundane scene into something extraordinary. Take this image for example. Photographed after a storm in Sun City, California, the image reminds me of a wilderness with a flowing river when in fact the image is of a drainage ditch in a field.
To capture the image, I moved close to the edge of the drainage ditch to create the illusion that the photo was taken from on the water. Using a tripod, I captured four exposures at 1-stop intervals. Photomatix Pro was used to convert the images into an HDR photo. You can see one of the original images to the right.
