Candid Wedding Photography at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, California
Wedding photography is often thought of as posed images of both the bride and groom as well as family members. With today's wedding photography, traditional styles are still a big part for the industry, however, you will find many photographers prefer to capture the moment in a more candid or photojournalistic style. This weeks photo of the week takes place at Victoria Gardens shopping district in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The couple where just married a few miles away at Etiwanda Gardens (a wedding and reception venue). After the ceremony and family photos, we headed over to Victoria Gardens to capture candid photos. With so many excellent images to select from, I chose this photo because it reveals a lot about the couples feelings. The expression is not a forced, posed one, but one where the bride and groom seem to express their true happiness in the moments following their wedding.
A series of images where taken by me standing at one end of the kiosk lined walkway and a 200mm lens. I had the couple walk toward me, instructing them to ignore the camera and the crowed and just engage themselves in the moment. The result was a wedding photo that captured their true happiness and one where they can share with their children and grandchildren.
