Lifestyle Portrait Photography

Lifestyle portrait photography is somewhat different than engagement photography in that the couple may already be married and desire photography which depicts the couple and their lifestyle. I have photographed couples in arcades, on top of Bear Mountain in Big Bear, skiing, on their boats, and various other lifestyle situations. This weeks photo of the week takes us to Sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park in Riverside, California.

The couple photographed are avid mountain bikers and had hired me to capture the day as the rode their mountain bikes through out the wilderness. In all actuality, the photo shoot was for stock photography and in exchange, the couple would receive a disk of their lifestyle photos for posing.

I selected the image below as photo of the week because it shows the couple coming off of a rock hill in unison. Wile the image was not planned, it appears as though it was well choreographed. The image is a great testament to the couples affinity for mountain biking and that the image truly captures a part of their lifestyle.

The photo was captured on a Nikon D300 and processed in Adobe Lightroom. Affects where added using Tiffen Effects and  OnOne PhotoFrame Pro.
